Eau Claire United
Chippewa Valley Soccer League Winter 2012
Registration for Spring 2012 will be held January 12, 2012 at the Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The fee is $65.00 for one child, $60.00 for the second child, and $55.00 for each additional child in a family. Only cash, checks or money orders will be accepted.
If your child was registered and on a team in the Fall of 2011, you do NOT need to register again. The teams will be the same. Spring registration is for new players. This is for boys and girls who were age four before August 1, 2011 and who were still age 18 as of July 31, 2011.
The fee is for the spring season only. There is no reduction in fees for a half season because the basic expenses are the same. Late registrations will not be accepted. The regular season runs from April 21 until June 2, 2012.
Practices may begin on April 9th as determined by individual coaches. Game nights may be any week night at 5:15 p.m. or later, no Wednesdays, and any time on Saturday.
This is a non-profit, parent-run organization. All parents will be asked to volunteer. Sign up opportunities will be available at registration.
Please share this information regarding registration with any friends who may be interested in playing soccer.
On-line pre-registration has started and will remain open until January 20th. Please print 2 copies of the player registration form and bring along to registration night at the Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center along with payment on January 12th.

Rules at Soccer Park
From Their Pdf...
While this list does not cover all rules and safety concerns at Soccer Park, it provides a snapshot for all of us
to think about to keep Soccer Park a safe place for our kids to play.
- Do not allow any child or adult to hang from goals or nets. If you see anyone hanging on or trying to hang on the goals, please instruct them to stop immediately. you may be saving their life or preventing a serious injury by doing so.
- No Dogs (no matter how big or small) are allowed at any CVSL game or practice - or at Soccer Park. This is for the safety and comfort of all spectators and players.
- Please be considerate of residents that live near soccer fields and do not block their mailboxes, block driveways, park in their driveways or lots or use driveways as turnarounds.
- No Smoking is allowed at CVSL games or practices.
- No Earrings, hair braids, hard barrettes or other jewelry shall be worn during soccer games. If your child's ears were recently pierced, please do not show up with tape over the earrings or expect the referee to make an exception to the rule. Take the earrings out in the privacy of your home, not on the soccer field.
- Do not communicate with referees during a game unless you have something positive to say. It is challenging to referee a soccer game, and many of our referees are developing their skills at the same time your child is developing their soccer skills. It is essential that we retain our referees - too many have quit in the past because they were berated by a parent or coach.
- Please stop any child you see kicking the dirt or digging with their feet, especially in front of goals. This bad habit creates dangerous holes on the field that can cause injuries.
AYSO Soccer Camps June 18-22
Chippewa Valley Soccer League will be hosting AYSO Soccer for the sixth straight year. The Soccer Camp is offered in sessions the week of June 18th through the 22nd at Soccer Park. The camp has consistently been enjoyed by about 100 kids each year. The camp coaches are soccer players from the United Kingdom and the kids love their accents.
Mark your calendars and look for informational flyers from your team coaches at the start of Spring Practice, or watch the CVSL websites: http://ayso803.clubspaces.com or www.aysosoccercamps.org
AYSYO: Cheering On Your Child - On & Off the Field
From Their Website...
While winning the game is the end-goal of playing sports, parents can easily lose sight of the important steps to success that make that finish possible. Have you noticed that your kids perform better when they receive positive reinforcement and praise? Soccer Hall of Famer Joy Fawcett explains that the E-Tank concept is like the gas tank in a car. The fuller our tanks are, the longer we can go. And, kids perform better when their E-Tank is full and lower when it is empty.
